You play as Rania, a newcomer to the city to Nivalis. Cyberlimbs are cybernetic arms and legs, including hands and feet, as well as additional built-in features. Since he owes money to more than a few ticked-off citizens looking to collect, it seems like Hayse isnt long for this world.

This week, developers Ion Lands began testing a new first-person mode in Cloudpunks beta build, letting drivers get up close and personal with Nivalis gorgeous mile-high neighbourhoods. No one knows this better than Hayse, a down-on-his-luck, profanity-spewing former Cloudpunk driver who indulges in whatever booze and drugs he can get his hands on.

As you make your deliveries you'll meet a large cast of characters along the way, including shady nightclub owners, hackers. Theres plenty to appreciate in Cloudpunks towering urban sprawl - but until now, its always been kept at an arms length. Patch 1.62 for Cyberpunk 2077 is out now This update brings the technology preview of Ray Tracing: Overdrive Mode for high-end PCs. Currently out on PC, Nintendo Switch, and consoles. Cloudpunk is a game almost entirely about exploration and conversation. Even then, it seemed to go in and out of working properly, resulting in me running with the default settings, which was fine, though I have to imagine that this mechanic will be much more precise and effective when Cloudpunk makes its way to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Cloudpunk is a 2020 Cyberpunk open-world role-playing game developed by Ion Lands and published by Maple Whispering Limited. You might struggle with the camera and controls at times, but dont let that detract from. The audiovisual design also drives the game forward, presenting a world thats dark, futuristic, and mysterious. Cloudpunk on Switch often dips right down below 20fps, stuttering massively as you enter new areas an action youre repeatedly forced into that now regularly incurs thirty-to-forty second load. The story isnt perfect, but the characters are extremely well-written. Players can unlock the camera in the settings, but this didn’t seem to have an impact on anything other than when I was driving. Cloudpunk succeeds in delivering a worthwhile open-world adventure. It’s not a terrible design, but the fixed camera (think Resident Evil ) does cause headaches every so often, especially when trying to navigate to a platform on a higher level, or speak with an NPC hidden behind some scenery.

Often, this involves parking in a designated spot, before navigating the various streets, platforms, bridges, and elevators using the minimap in the corner of the screen. Many of the pick-up-and-deliver quests require Rania to exit her HOVA and make deliveries on foot. Main protagonist Rania and canine companion Camus return for another sky-high, HOVA-based jaunt around the neon-drenched metropolis of Nivalis, but this time theres a new hero - deadbeat gambler. Walking around on foot is actually a major component of Cloudpunk’s story and overall appeal.
